LINKS & STUFF

On this page are all the bits & pieces that I want to put somewhere but either don't warrant a page of their own, I can't be bothered providing a page for or I just haven't had time to put together yet, if any body out there in cyberspace checks em' out or can recommend other links that I might be interested in then drop me a line.

Firstly I have to mention that in my humble opinion the Manchester Blue's are the greatest football team that ever existed, OK, I know we've not won anything for donkeys, but we've got Sven now so what could possibly go wrong ! I for one was sad to see Physco out of a job & I wish him the best of luch with the U21's. I'll never forget when I was a kid of standing on the Kippax, unable to see but still screaming at the top of my voice. I didn't get there half as often as I would have liked, every body else in the house was a red, arghhhhhh, so I had to rely on neighbours, cousins etc to let me tag along. These days I'm still true blue but just can't face up to paying the exorbitant ticket prices that the premiership demand, particularly when both Blythe & Zac want to come along as well, hence are new found allegiance to "The Bucks"

BLOODY, BLOODY HELL, I despised every thing about the way Chelsea bought the premiership title, Thailands biggest conman wasn't good, now we're the plaything of a billionaire Dubai Doctor, Robinho, £32M, its obscene, challenging to join the gang of four, champions league, great for MCFC but me thinks crap for football as a whole.

Well nearly the new year & it seems were not in iminent danger of spoiling either Liverpool's chances of winning the title, in fact but for Hull we'd still be sitting in the bottom three, Lets hope blackburn are equally as generous.

Not the best of seasons so far, bottom half of the table, sounds familiar, but at least we'rte not losing every week now, just every other week. My opinion of John reed still hasn't changed, he does for managerial skills what hitler did for world peace, at least however Mark reed, no relation, has rejoined the flock, it hasn't made a vast difference to the results but at least we're no longer sat hanging quite so close to the relegation zone, lets see what 2009 brings.

OK, you may have noticed from elsewhere on my pages that amongst other things I'm of the fishing & shooting fraternity, if your not that's your problem not mine, whilst this site, "Clay Kitten Shooting" has absolutely nothing to do with my blood thirsty pursuits it was discovered because of them, its very simple really you shoot cats that are launched across the sky line with a shot gun & they blow up. Now for any cat lovers who are now outraged, I've got a fat cat called "Fatty" & I definitely won't be shooting her, well not this week anyway, CKS isn't real, its pretend, its funny, get a life.

As you've, hopefully seen, I've taken some, in my opinion pretty pictures - see Dark Landscapes - these were as a result of a old friend of mine, Big Bird, & his on line digital arty bits, I'm fairly sure he's sold some & been accredited in a couple of competitions, his better half, Pauline, is no mean painter either, did a lovely job of our outside lavatory, so check out thier site & tell em' what you think.

When I was a youth I was pretty heavily into sport, participation therein, now I'm old(er) & fat(er) & working, I don't get anywhere near as much exercise as would be good for me, a year or so back the sprog's started attending Tae-Kwon Do lessons one night a week, after several months of sitting on a bench with all the other older/fatter parents I was conned by a friends evil wife by the words,"Why don't you start TKD, go on, I will if you will" yeah, right, & bears don't shit in the woods, needless to say I did, she didn't, I still do. We, me & the kids, now go a couple of times a week & even attended a fortnights training camp in the Gran Canaries in Jan 05. The monsters have attended a couple of competitions & have just come back, March 06, from the North of England championships with four gongs between them, having attended as a spectator myself I might just enter the next one. Anyway our local group, New Centuary TKD covers bits Derbyshire, Staffordshire & Nottinghamshire & is part of the Professional Unification of Martial Arts - PUMA for short, this link, for anybody interested is to NCTKD - I've given it a miss this year, again, but you don't have to.

There's not a lot more that I can say about Ace & the Dog that I haven't said elsewhere on these pages but, just in case your stupid here's another link to the Mr F's sad little world, actually no sadder than mine but these are my pages so I decide who's sad & who isn't.

Along with my passion for role playing games my interest in reading matter has largely been confined, unsurprisingly, to the Science Fantasy/Fiction genre, now just like Mills & Boon, there's a lot of utter tosh out there under the SF moniker, it ain't all Lord of the Rings, but one that stands with a few others head & shoulders above the rest are the scribblings of Mr Pratchett, I could prevaricate at great length about the many facets of the Disc World, of the undiscovered pleasures of CMOT's meat pies, of the exploits of the infamous Rincewind & of the habits of Nanny Ogg but I won't because I'd hate to spoil it for you, so instead here be a link to Mr P's web site where you may explore the delights for yourself - happy reading.

Fairly self explanatory this one, its all about things that go bump in the night.
